Melanie and Dominick chose Lake Como for an elopement that was just the two of them. A quiet, intimate day on the water and in a lakeside garden, shared only with each other. This page follows their day from the first photo to the last.

Their story

Their elopement day on Lake Como

The day began slowly. Melanie and Dominick got ready above the lake, with soft light coming through tall windows and the mountains in the distance. There was time to breathe and to enjoy the small things: the flowers, the shoes, the rings.

When they were ready, they stepped out into the garden. Under tall trees, with the lake just behind the stone railing, they saw each other, smiled and held hands. This is where they had their ceremony and exchanged rings, just the two of them, with the lake as their backdrop. Afterwards they stayed in the garden for portraits and shared a kiss in an old stone archway. Nothing was rushed, and the whole garden felt like theirs.

Then they took a boat out on the lake. With the mountains rising on every side and a lakeside village along the shore, they sat close together in the golden light, holding hands as the boat moved across the water.

They finished the day with a private dinner, set with beautiful flower decorations, where they cut their wedding cake, shared a toast and raised their glasses one last time. It was a simple, warm ending to an elopement day that was intimate from the first photo to the last.
