Snowfall is possible at higher altitudes, but generally speaking, this is a quieter period with good value.

Altitude Considerations:

• The temperature drops roughly 1°C per 100m elevation gain.

• Keep in mind that the mountain weather can change rapidly with big temperature drops in the evening.

• Valley locations are more sheltered and stable than those above 2000m which tend to be significantly colder.

Major airports like Geneva and Lyon provide excellent accessibility, with regular transfers to all major Alpine destinations.

The best way to explore the French Alps would be to rent out a car at the airport which will allow you to visit all the beautiful local spots on your bucket list!
