SomewhereCrazy OÜ ("Somewhere Crazy", "we", "us") plans elopements and intimate weddings. We are a company registered in Estonia, and we decide how the personal data in this policy is used. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that makes us the "controller".

We apply the GDPR to everyone we work with, wherever you live. If you are in the US, Canada or Australia, sections 9 and 10 add what applies to you.
When you send an inquiry: your names, email, phone, country, wedding date and destination ideas, number of guests, budget, and anything you choose to tell us in your message. Where your cookie choice allows it, we also save with your inquiry which ad or website first brought you to us, and which ones brought you back before you got in touch.
When you book a call: the details you enter in Calendly.
When you become a client: your contract, invoicing and payment details, and what we need to plan your day, such as travel dates, preferences, and any dietary or accessibility needs you share.
When you subscribe to our emails: your email address, your preferences, and whether you open or click our emails.
When you visit our website: the pages you look at, how you arrived (for example from a search or an ad), your device and browser, your approximate location from your IP address, and identifiers stored in cookies. Section 8 and our Cookie Policy explain this.
Some things you tell us can be sensitive, such as health or dietary needs, or details that show your sexual orientation. We use them only to plan your day, share them only with the vendors who need them, and never use them for advertising.
To answer your inquiry, send a quote and hold your call: because you asked us to, before any contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To plan your elopement and manage your contract and payments: to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
To keep accounting and tax records: a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
To send our newsletter: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To measure our website and our ads, and to show our ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram to people who visited our site: your consent in the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland and Quebec. Elsewhere, our legitimate interest in understanding how people find us and in reaching people interested in our services, with an easy way to say no (section 8).
To share your photos, videos or testimonial: your consent.
To keep the website and our systems secure: our legitimate interest.
You can withdraw consent at any time: for cookies through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, for everything else by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing doesn't affect what was done before.
If you are a client and withdraw consent for photos or videos that have already been published or delivered, removing them may involve an administrative fee, as set out in your service contract.
We use trusted service providers who process data for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
Cloudflare: website hosting, security and a cookie-free count of visits
Google: email, documents and file storage (Google Workspace), website analytics (Google Analytics and Tag Manager), and ad measurement (Google Ads)
Meta: measuring our Facebook and Instagram ads and showing them to people who visited
ActiveCampaign: our inquiry form, newsletter and the website activity of people in our contact list
Calendly: booking calls
Odoo: client records and invoicing
ClickUp: planning and project management
Ahrefs and Metricool: website and social media statistics
When you book your elopement, we share what is needed (such as your names, contact details, date and preferences) with the local vendors who make your day happen: photographers, videographers, celebrants, florists, hair and makeup artists, venues, transport and others. They receive only what they need and must keep it secure and confidential.
We may also share data when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities.
We never sell your personal data.
Some of our providers, including Google, Meta, ActiveCampaign, Calendly and Cloudflare, are based in the US or process data there, and some of your vendors are outside the European Economic Area. When data leaves the EEA we use the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. When a vendor for your day is in a country without those safeguards, we share your details because it is needed to deliver what you booked.
Inquiries that don't become bookings: up to 2 years

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
show you the personal data we hold about you
correct it or delete it
restrict or object to how we use it, including for analytics and advertising
give it to you, or another company, in a portable format
withdraw any consent you gave
Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (www.aki.ee) or the data protection authority where you live.
What runs on our website depends on where you are:
EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Quebec, or if we can't tell where you are: nothing that tracks you runs until you press Accept.
Canada outside Quebec, Australia and the rest of the world: Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta pixel and ActiveCampaign run from the start, and our notice lets you turn them off with one click.
United States: Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta pixel and ActiveCampaign run. You can turn them off at any time through Cookie settings.
Everywhere: Cloudflare counts visits without cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no.
You can change your choice whenever you like through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Our Cookie Policy lists each tool.
We do not sell your personal information. Some US state laws treat using cookies for targeted advertising as "sharing"; you can opt out through Cookie settings or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected], and we won't treat you differently for doing so.
We tell you about our analytics and advertising cookies when you first arrive, and you can turn them off in one click. Visitors in Quebec are asked first. You can ask to see or correct your data by emailing [email protected]. If you are not happy with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as access controls and secure, reputable providers. No online system is completely secure, so please don't send passport numbers or payment card details by email or through our form.
Our services are for adults planning their own wedding. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
We'll update this policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
