The spiral staircase of the Scala Contarini del Bovolo

A symbolic ceremony at the top of the Scala Contarini del Bovolo

A couple embracing under the arches of the belvedere, above Venice

The venue

Scala Contarini del Bovolo

A late-Gothic palazzo tucked away between Rialto and St Mark’s, famous for its spiral staircase tower and the belvedere at the top, with views over the rooftops of Venice.

The ceremony: Your vows take place on the belvedere at the top of the tower, with the domes and bell towers of Venice all around you. A secluded corner of Venice, tucked away from the crowds of St Mark’s Square, so your ceremony feels entirely your own. Followed by a toast at the top of the tower.
The stay: The venue doesn’t have accommodation on site. During the planning process, we’ll send you recommendations for places to stay nearby that work well with the venue and your plans.
Guests: Guests are welcome for this experience. Capacity and pricing are confirmed on request.

Common questions

Before you choose

Can we choose our own venue?

For the designed experiences the venue is chosen by us, so we can guarantee the setting, the exclusivity and the quality of the day. If you want to pick the venue yourself, choose a custom-made package instead — the day is built around your choice.

What other costs should we consider?

The base price covers everything listed above. Optional upgrades — videography, live music, enhanced florals, premium vendors — are charged as additional costs. Flights and accommodation are not included.

Where should we stay?

Your stay isn’t included in this experience, but we’re happy to help. We’ll recommend a few hotels within walking distance of the palazzo, chosen so getting ready and reaching the tower are easy on the day.

Can we choose our own vendors?

Yes. We work with a curated selection of local and international vendors whose style and reliability match this experience. During planning we share our recommendations — photographers, hair and makeup artists, celebrants — and you choose. Upgrades from our extended list are available at extra cost.

Can we bring guests?

This experience is priced for the two of you. Guests are welcome and can be added on request for an additional fee. Your planner will confirm capacity, logistics and pricing.
