Rynae and Chris chose the Amalfi Coast for their elopement, and they filled the day with it: a quiet start in a room above the sea, vows in front of a deep red floral arch, a boat ride along the cliffs and a candlelit dinner. This page follows their day from the first photo to the last.

Planning an elopement on the Amalfi Coast means choosing between sea-view terraces, hidden coves and villages stacked up the cliffs. Rynae and Chris chose all three. Their story

Their elopement day on the Amalfi Coast

The day began slowly, with the sea glittering behind the windows. The bride had her hair and makeup done and took her time, with her jewellery and the small details close by, while the groom took a quiet moment to prepare for the vows.

Then came their first look and a private moment together, among the garden and the stone steps, before they walked to the terrace. A violinist played as they arrived. In front of a red floral arch, with the coast behind them, their celebrant led a personal ceremony, and they exchanged vows and rings and sealed it with a kiss.

A private boat then took them along the coast. The bride held her red bouquet, the groom relaxed on the deck in his tuxedo, and the two of them laughed and raised a glass while the cliffs turned golden around them.

Back on land, they walked up the old stone steps in the evening light, then celebrated with a candlelit dinner for two on the terrace and cut their cake as the lights of the coast came on below.
